Difference between Ions and Free Radicals

the Major Difference between Ions and Free Radicals is that Ions are formed when an atom does not have the same number of protons and electrons While Free Radicals are any molecules that contain one or more unpaired electrons chemically reactive and highly unstable.

Ions Free Radicals
These are the atoms which bear some charge These are the atoms that have odd number of electrons.
They exist in solution or in crystal lattice. They can exist in solutions as well in air.
Their formation is not affected by the presence of light. They may form in presence of light.
