What is the Difference Between Ram and Rom?

the Major Difference Between Ram and Rom is thatĀ  RAM (Radom Access Memory) is a type of Volatile memory, meaning the stored data is lost when powered off, and writing data is a fast process while ROM ( Read-only Memory) is a type of non-volatile memory, meaning that the data will not be lost when power is removed.

What is RAM?

Random access memory. It is the temporary memory that is available for the current work. It is volatile and lost when the computer is switched off unless stored permanently in storage like a disc.

What is ROM?

Read-only memory. It is not volatile memory and is not erased when the computer is switched off. It is present in every computer for its operation. ROM normally contains the commands that enable the system to make use of its disc system so that further commands could be read.
